Volunteers are vital to our regional communities and their work is being supported through grants of up to $5,000.
Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan said the grants could pay for things like fuel costs incurred by volunteers, training or support to help volunteers re-engage with activities post COVID-19.
“Volunteers make such an important contribution to our communities, which is why our Government has provided the Centre for Volunteering with funding for the Supplementary Grants program,” he said.
“Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 can be used by volunteer involving organisations to support the efforts of their volunteers or to encourage increased participation in volunteering.
“Applications close on Sunday 20 September and I encourage all not-for-profit organisations with volunteers to apply.”
