The Legacy on Albany Project Secures $4.1 Million to Provide Housing for Veterans and Widows in Coffs Harbour In a major win for veterans, widows, and families facing housing insecurity, the Legacy on Albany project has secured $4.1 million in funding under the Veterans’ Acute Housing Program (VAHP). This crucial investment will enable Coffs Coast Legacy to build transitional housing units at 94 Albany Street, Coffs Harbour, providing a safe and stable environment for those in need. The funding approval is a direct result of continued advocacy and support from Pat Conaghan, Federal MP for Cowper, who has worked tirelessly to ensure that the government recognises the urgent housing crisis impacting veterans and widows in the Coffs Harbour region. "This project is about providing dignity, security, and a future for those who have served our country and now find themselves in vulnerable circumstances. The severe lack of affordable housing in Coffs Harbour has left many veterans and widows without safe options, and this funding is a critical step toward addressing that," said Pat Conaghan, Federal MP for Cowper.
